Integrating technology in the classroom can benefit student learning. For some students, the special education population in particular, it a tool that will help build independence. For others, it is an experience that will help learning become inviting and interesting again. I started this program right after finishing my undergraduate degree at DSU. I thought I was ahead of the curve when it came to technology knowledge, which I was. What I needed was a way to integrate the technology with student learning. This program gave me that knowledge along with many other tools to use in my classroom. Through this program, I have learned how to change my instruction so it is more student centered.
