About Me |
I grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota. While in high school my family
moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where I graduated from
Roosevelt High School.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher at a young age and
Dakota
State University
was a perfect it for me. I earned my degree in
Elementary Education/K-12 Special Education
with minors in reading and educational technology. Since I
graduated in December, I had the privilege of being a long
term substitute teacher in both 3rd grade and high school special
education for the Brandon Valley School District.
The next fall I took a job as a middle school resource room
teacher at
Mickelson Middle School
in Brookings, SD. I teach math, reading, and English while
being the case manager for a number of students.
While I
enjoy learning, I try to make time for my other interests. I enjoy
cooking. There isn't a recipe I’m afraid to try and my friends seem to
enjoy tasting the treats I make. I also enjoy reading and riding bike.
I love spending time with my family. My brother is a senior at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls. I have been to many soccer games this year cheering him on. My sister and niece are also in Sioux Falls. I try to visit every chance I get. We love watching movies and playing dress up. My niece just started kindergarten and I love hearing about everything she learns. |
